Volunteer Opportunity: FSU Department of Dance Presents Imprint (Friday & Saturday, May 16 & 17, 2008

Eight ushers are needed for each night at Montgomery Hall on FSU's campus (next to Thaggard Health Center on Landis Green) for the FSU Department of Dance show, Imprint. Call for Volunteers: Tallahassee Film Festival (Thursday thru Saturday, May 15 – 17, 2008)

The Tallahassee Film Festival is in need of volunteers to help with assisting filmmakers, projection assistants, and film runners. We will have as many as four venues screening at once. We will also need plenty of viewers to attend the screenings and seminars. Anyone that can find time to help during that week (classes are just starting back) assisting visiting filmmakers getting around town, this would be a good chance to meet one-on-one with people working in the industry. This is a major event for the North Florida area and we need lots of volunteers. Examples of duties: help us set up the festival and take it down; help with artist breakfast and awards dinner; act as hospitality crews. Mission San Luis needs volunteers for our Blessing of Animals on October 6. Shifts begin at 8a.m., 10a.m., and 2p.m. Prior to the event, volunteers must visit the site for an orientation of their assigned location. Volunteer Opportunity: LeMoyne Center for the Arts Chain of Parks Festival (April 21 - 22, 2007)

LeMoyne is currently seeking volunteers to assist staff and art vendors with the upcoming Chain of Parks Art Festival on the weekend of April 21-22, 2007. Call for Volunteers: WFSU-FM Spring Member Drive Now through March 31, 2007)

WFSU-FM is looking for volunteers for their Spring Member Drive. Volunteers are needed to answers phones and take pledges of support. Each spring and fall, WFSU uses this time to speak to listeners about the importance of financially supporting public radio. Volunteers are trained and we also provide great food from local restaurants. The shifts are usually only two hours long. And, if you get a group together (of between four and eight people) you group is thanked on-air. It's great exposure, fun networking, easy work, and a great way to support public radio. The Downtown Marketplace is looking for volunteers to help at the “Just One More” Holiday Art Show Downtown Tallahassee on Saturday December 9th. Volunteers may choose from three 4 hour shifts (7am until 11am; 10am until 2pm; or 1pm until 5pm). A free light breakfast, brunch, or lunch will be provided to the volunteers in each shift. Volunteers are needed to work at the admission gates at MARKET DAYS at the LEON COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS December 2 & 3, 2006. Market Days is a vital fund-raising event of the Tallahassee Museum of History and Natural Science. Proceeds support the Museum's educational activities and efforts to preserve the heritage of the Big Bend region. This event is a lot of fun, and you get in for free!
